Driving Old Highway 80

This afternoon I drove on Old Highway 80 to the next tiny town on an errand for a friend. Old Highway 80 was the main thoroughfare between San Diego and the Arizona border before the Interstate was built in the late 1960s, and the Old Highway becomes our main street as well as the main street to several small back country towns as one travels further east. As I meandered back into our town, I snapped some photos while driving back into Pine Valley. This little ol' town is so beautiful; I am so thankful it's still here after the fire scare of last week....
