Stained Glass in Our Front Window

Keith pulled out this stained glass window to weigh it so that he could gain an idea of how much the window he's working on will weigh so that he can support it adequately. Keith created this window for my grandparents early in our marriage (late 1980s), and when they passed away, we received it back. It had been hung on our front door of our old house, but when we moved here six years ago, we weren't sure what to do with it because we didn't want to spoil our meadow view from the front window.

When Keith brought the window out today, we decided to hang it for a while to see it we like it in our front window. So far, we do! Ideally I would love to build this window into a wooden door, but that will have to wait....

About Project 365

Project 365 started in January of 2007 with about fifteen online friends from the United States and beyond who resolved to post "A Photo A Day." The goal was to learn about photography through daily practice and looking at and commenting upon each others' work.

Several devoted photographers kept going in January of 2008 while most of us resorted to less-rigorous schedules of posting our photographs. But in January of 2009, about ten (perhaps more!) of us were back in the saddle, ready to shoot, post, and learn. Most of their blog sites are listed further down the sidebar if you'd like to view their work.

I took another break for 2010 but am back for 365 for 2011 with a new Facebook group of friends, many of whom you'll find in the sidebar.

I am using a simple point-and-shoot camera, an Olympus Stylus 740. Many of my fellow photographers are using far better cameras, so the quality of my photographs will in no way equal theirs. However, I still hope to "learn to see" better this year as I jump back into Project 365.
