Day 63: Family Party

After our family birthday party at Chili's, celebrating three family birthdays (mine, my brother's, and his daughter's), I noted these concert photos on the wall of the waiting area. This Chili's is next to the Sports Arena where many of the city's concerts take place, including the U2 concert that Elizabeth and I attended a few years ago...yes, it's BONO!!!!! Woo-hoo!!!!!

Premiere Night....

NCIS and House are our favorite TV shows, and with the season premiers of both on tonight (along with Dancing with the Stars which we're recording to watch later), we're all grouped in front of the TV watching avidly.

I was so wrapped up in House that I forgot to take photos of that show until the previews for next week. But since we send the boys to bed before House, this photo of Tony, who appeared to be killed when his car exploded early in the hour, was most indicative of our TV premiere week.

And yes, we're still on pins and needles about Sarah on CSI; with the other CSI shows knocking off major characters, we're well aware of the possibility of her not making it.

Don't you love premiere week?

Rock Fan...

One great thing about driving a piece of crud car ('91 Corolla) is that I feel free to embellish it with bumper stickers. Along with my university decals from Point Loma and USD and a sticker advertising Alpine Anglican, I specially ordered a U2 decal a few years ago -- I kinda like the reflection of the camera too.

Hadta See It Again....

E received a free matinee ticket to see Order of the Phoenix when she bought the game for her Nintendo DS. We didn't use the free ticket when we saw the movie on opening day since I purchased those tickets online a week in advance, and they wouldn't credit her ticket on the site.

We had wanted to see the movie with Dana, Dr. Burns' receptionist, whom we've transformed into a HUGE Harry Potter fan. Unfortunately, our schedules just didn't gell, so E and I watched the movie alone. It was even better the second time, especially after having read the seventh and final book since seeing Order of the Phoenix the first time.

Aaaah, the magic of movies!
