Another Zoo Trip

After T's early orthodonic appointment Tuesday, we decided to not waste our gas for a ten-minute check up and to proceed on to Balboa Park. When we realized that the only free museums this Tuesday were ones we weren't interested in, we decided on a short trip to the San Diego Zoo. On our last two trips, the Zoo happened to be quite crowded, but this morning the Zoo was quite sparsely peopled. Finally, we had a clear shot at the Reptile House before making quick visits to the meerkats and otters in the Children's Zoo. T took the first three shots; I took the final one. Enjoy!

About Project 365

Project 365 started in January of 2007 with about fifteen online friends from the United States and beyond who resolved to post "A Photo A Day." The goal was to learn about photography through daily practice and looking at and commenting upon each others' work.

Several devoted photographers kept going in January of 2008 while most of us resorted to less-rigorous schedules of posting our photographs. But in January of 2009, about ten (perhaps more!) of us were back in the saddle, ready to shoot, post, and learn. Most of their blog sites are listed further down the sidebar if you'd like to view their work.

I took another break for 2010 but am back for 365 for 2011 with a new Facebook group of friends, many of whom you'll find in the sidebar.

I am using a simple point-and-shoot camera, an Olympus Stylus 740. Many of my fellow photographers are using far better cameras, so the quality of my photographs will in no way equal theirs. However, I still hope to "learn to see" better this year as I jump back into Project 365.
