Day 54: Me, Myself, & I

T kindly took some photos of me as I was wanting a new profile photo for Facebook. Several of them came out okay, and this one was the best. He took a couple of me reading and more of me sitting at our school table writing. I am one of the least photogenic people I know; I rarely take a good photo, and this one is merely "okay" on my scale. But I didn't want a four-year-old photo on my Facebook profile any longer. About Project 365

Project 365 started in January of 2007 with about fifteen online friends from the United States and beyond who resolved to post "A Photo A Day." The goal was to learn about photography through daily practice and looking at and commenting upon each others' work.

Several devoted photographers kept going in January of 2008 while most of us resorted to less-rigorous schedules of posting our photographs. But in January of 2009, about ten (perhaps more!) of us were back in the saddle, ready to shoot, post, and learn. Most of their blog sites are listed further down the sidebar if you'd like to view their work.

I took another break for 2010 but am back for 365 for 2011 with a new Facebook group of friends, many of whom you'll find in the sidebar.

I am using a simple point-and-shoot camera, an Olympus Stylus 740. Many of my fellow photographers are using far better cameras, so the quality of my photographs will in no way equal theirs. However, I still hope to "learn to see" better this year as I jump back into Project 365.
