Saturday: Surprise Party

We managed to actually surprise Keith's elder sister, Karen, with a 50th birthday party in Lake Murray's fellowship hall. Forty-some people came to surprise Karen and celebrate her birthday. Her daughter, Connie, planned the whole thing with a little help from me. It was a wonderful celebration, and I think Karen enjoyed the party, even if she had to help Keith light her own candles (yep -- exactly 50!).

About Project 365

Project 365 started in January of 2007 with about fifteen online friends from the United States and beyond who resolved to post "A Photo A Day." The goal was to learn about photography through daily practice and looking at and commenting upon each others' work.

Several devoted photographers kept going in January of 2008 while most of us resorted to less-rigorous schedules of posting our photographs. But in January of 2009, about ten (perhaps more!) of us were back in the saddle, ready to shoot, post, and learn. Most of their blog sites are listed further down the sidebar if you'd like to view their work.

I took another break for 2010 but am back for 365 for 2011 with a new Facebook group of friends, many of whom you'll find in the sidebar.

I am using a simple point-and-shoot camera, an Olympus Stylus 740. Many of my fellow photographers are using far better cameras, so the quality of my photographs will in no way equal theirs. However, I still hope to "learn to see" better this year as I jump back into Project 365.
