Okay, okay, so it was only a couple hundredths of an inch, but it was the first rain we've seen since April. We desperately need rain this winter, enough to help keep the fire danger lower next summer but not so much as to cause mudslides in the burn areas. But even a little rain is cause for rejoicing in Southern California.
