Surprising March Weather

I don't know why we consider March snow as surprising as it always seems to happen each year. Just as we arrived home from our Orange County trip last night, hail was pelting our van. Within ninety minutes, snow was actually falling and remained on the ground this morning. I took these just as we left for church and showed the top one to several people in Sunday School.

Yes, our Southern California house in mid-March. Yes, it happens most years.

My daffodills are rather weighed down by the reemergence of winter weather.

About Project 365

Project 365 started in January of 2007 with about fifteen online friends from the United States and beyond who resolved to post "A Photo A Day." The goal was to learn about photography through daily practice and looking at and commenting upon each others' work.

Several devoted photographers kept going in January of 2008 while most of us resorted to less-rigorous schedules of posting our photographs. But in January of 2009, about ten (perhaps more!) of us were back in the saddle, ready to shoot, post, and learn. Most of their blog sites are listed further down the sidebar if you'd like to view their work.

I took another break for 2010 but am back for 365 for 2011 with a new Facebook group of friends, many of whom you'll find in the sidebar.

I am using a simple point-and-shoot camera, an Olympus Stylus 740. Many of my fellow photographers are using far better cameras, so the quality of my photographs will in no way equal theirs. However, I still hope to "learn to see" better this year as I jump back into Project 365.
