Day 3: Tenth Day of Christmas

Today is the Tenth Day of Christmas. And the sparkling lights are just as gorgeous and dreamy as the First Day....

I love the glow of Christmas lights. What a cozy, appealing scene! It makes you want to curl up in that chair near the tree, book in hand, cup of tea nearby...

So pretty! Mine is still up too and I was thinking similar thoughts last nights...it's just as beautiful as it was when we first put it up! Nice to have a meditative quiet time after the bustle.

The lights on the tree are one of my favorite parts of Christmas. It's been a tradition to sleep at least one night in front of the tree, but with all this year's travels and air mattress fiasco, it didn't happen. Now the tree is so dry I'd be afraid to leave the lights on all night!

My first thought was also that it looks like the perfect spot for a cup of tea and reflecting in the glow of the lights.

I think I am adopting the 12 days tradition. My decorations are in transition today, but the lights of the tree during this dark time of year are somehow so comforting! Beautiful!

Lovely. I got my house ready for epiphany today. I am having a hard time finding purple candles though!
