Day 13: Bookshelf Above My Desk

Yes, the bookshelf Keith made and installed above my desk holds some special items. My cross from USD and my prayer candle from Sheri that I pull down when having morning prayers. My "I Love You, Mom" mini-mug that E bought me years ago. My reference Bible and reference books are on this shelf, along with dear Oswald (My Utmost for His Highest), my 1662 illuminated Book of Common Prayer, my One Year Book of Hymns, my 1979 BCP, my hymnal, and some favorite CDs. All are easily at hand, just above my head when I sit at my desk.

About Project 365

Project 365 started in January of 2007 with about fifteen online friends from the United States and beyond who resolved to post "A Photo A Day." The goal was to learn about photography through daily practice and looking at and commenting upon each others' work.

Several devoted photographers kept going in January of 2008 while most of us resorted to less-rigorous schedules of posting our photographs. But in January of 2009, about ten (perhaps more!) of us were back in the saddle, ready to shoot, post, and learn. Most of their blog sites are listed further down the sidebar if you'd like to view their work.

I took another break for 2010 but am back for 365 for 2011 with a new Facebook group of friends, many of whom you'll find in the sidebar.

I am using a simple point-and-shoot camera, an Olympus Stylus 740. Many of my fellow photographers are using far better cameras, so the quality of my photographs will in no way equal theirs. However, I still hope to "learn to see" better this year as I jump back into Project 365.
