Day 8: Words, Words, Words

I've been really enjoying teaching the grammar workshop at BraveWriter.com this week. Julie has invented a class that looks at grammar in an entirely fresh way that reinforces the beauty and power of words. Our first assignment is to write a list of words we like ... so here's the first page of my list of favorite words. J has even more words on his list than I do.

This sounds like fun. I can't wait to hear what you do with your list. I think Caroline and I will write lists as well! Is it the sound of the word that you focus on most? I love words. Sometimes I'll pull out my two volume abridged Oxford English Dictionary just to look at the words:)

That looks like fun! What are you going to do with the lists? Words are my friends. :)

W0uld love to know more about this, as I have never found a grammar program that I could understand, let alone teach my children. I am thinking about getting my teachers certificate and want to teach remedial reading and suspect that grammar may be required. ;-)

Love,
Susan
