Day 8: Words, Words, Words

I've been really enjoying teaching the grammar workshop at BraveWriter.com this week. Julie has invented a class that looks at grammar in an entirely fresh way that reinforces the beauty and power of words. Our first assignment is to write a list of words we like ... so here's the first page of my list of favorite words. J has even more words on his list than I do.

CC said...: This sounds like fun. I can't wait to hear what you do with your list. I think Caroline and I will write lists as well! Is it the sound of the word that you focus on most? I love words. SUSAN said...: W0uld love to know more about this, as I have never found a grammar program that I could understand, let alone teach my children. I am thinking about getting my teachers certificate and want to teach remedial reading and suspect that grammar may be required. ;-)

About Project 365

Project 365 started in January of 2007 with about fifteen online friends from the United States and beyond who resolved to post "A Photo A Day." The goal was to learn about photography through daily practice and looking at and commenting upon each others' work.

Several devoted photographers kept going in January of 2008 while most of us resorted to less-rigorous schedules of posting our photographs. But in January of 2009, about ten (perhaps more!) of us were back in the saddle, ready to shoot, post, and learn. Most of their blog sites are listed further down the sidebar if you'd like to view their work.

I took another break for 2010 but am back for 365 for 2011 with a new Facebook group of friends, many of whom you'll find in the sidebar.

I am using a simple point-and-shoot camera, an Olympus Stylus 740. Many of my fellow photographers are using far better cameras, so the quality of my photographs will in no way equal theirs. However, I still hope to "learn to see" better this year as I jump back into Project 365.
