A Sprinkle of Rain.....

I drove home the back way today from our church's first book club meeting. I love following the winding way of Old Highway 80 which was the main route east to Arizona before Interstate 8 was built. Old Highway 80 actually begins within San Diego city limits and then east of El Cajon it wanders through small pocket communities like Flynn Springs, Alpine, Descanso, and Guatay before it drops down into our town. As I drove through Guatay today, a few late-afternoon sprinkles hit my windshield. Gotta love a summer rain, no matter how spare it may indeed be.
